Biografia
Atualmente é colunista do portal IG.

Calls for crackdown on public trade in police gear after Nova Scotia shootings
Whether it's the auctioning of police light bars or the availability of official RCMP decals, people familiar with the public trade in police gear say it's time to crack down on the potentially dangerous practice.
Their comments come after the RCMP revealed further details this week about how a Nova Scotia man acquired four former police vehicles at auctions, then used one of them in a murderous rampage across the province.
The killer had carefully painted and added flashing lights to one of the vehicles, which helped him escape the rural community of Portapique on April 18 after taking the lives of his first 13 victims.
After evading police and avoiding interception, Gabriel Wortman, 51, went on to kill nine more people the next day before officers shot and killed him.
David Giles, vice president of All EV Canada, an electric vehicle service and sales company, says during his 30-year career as an auto technician he's often seen used police gear and decals for sale at auctions.
Giles, a frequent Crown expert witness on automotive issues, says police should end the practice of selling the gear to the highest bidders.
"I think those items should be restricted. They shouldn't fall into the general public's hands," he said in an interview.
Giles provided internet links to light bars from decommissioned police vehicles being sold at recent public auctions in the Halifax area.
He also sent a link to a federal government procurement site, where the specifications for how to manufacture RCMP decals are available for the general public to view -- a practice he said should be kept more confidential.
A review of recently sold items on www.GCSurplus.ca, which is managed by Public Services and Procurement Canada, shows dozens of police cars were purchased between November 2018 and February 2019.
Prices ranged from $1,150 for a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria to $31,200 for a five-speed 2018 Dodge Charger.
While these sales are permitted, it is explicitly illegal under the federal Criminal Code for anyone to use them to impersonate a police officer.
However, provincial legislation doesn't always explicitly prohibit ordinary citizens from owning items such as the distinctive light bars of police vehicles, with their flashing red lights.
For example, in Nova Scotia, Section 179 of the Motor Vehicle Act prohibits people from moving on a highway with the flashing lights -- but doesn't explicitly prohibit owning the light bars.
Police unions and associations say it's time to tighten up those rules in light of the potential dangers that the Nova Scotia gunman's actions demonstrated.
"There's a lot of merit in having some very good, robust provincial regulations around the sale and possession and use of police equipment," Tom Stamatakis, the president of the Canadian Police Association, said in an interview.
Stamatakis said the original intent of provincial regulations was simply to prohibit the public ownership of items such as light bars.
"Unfortunately there have been many people who have argued that non-law enforcement personnel should have access to equipment," he said.
"The definitions of some of those regulations have been extended unnecessarily."
Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil said Wednesday he is sure that recommendations on the resale of police items will emerge as a result of the police investigation into the killings.
"Not only here in Nova Scotia but I'm sure nationally they'll be looking at how do we address the issue of surplus equipment from law enforcement agencies across the country," he said.
Dean Goodine, a film property manager in Summerland, B.C., said in an interview that police vehicles used in movies are tightly regulated.
The replica vehicles are approved by police lawyers, and after completion the painted vehicles are returned to the RCMP and the graphics are destroyed, said Goodine.
He said production teams can purchase items from special prop stores, but those aren't open to the general public.
"However, it's astonishing to me what's available at public auction," he added.
In addition, he noted the painting of the vehicle wouldn't be overly difficult.
"It's quite easy now for anybody who had money and access to printers. You could go online and find every conceivable thing you need to do this," Goodine said.
Police in Ontario are investigating two incidents of officer impersonation in recent weeks.
Provincial police are looking for a suspect after a woman in Lakeshore was pulled over by a vehicle with red and blue flashing lights and approached by a man wearing what appeared to be a police uniform last Thursday.
In Wellington County, Ont., a 25-year-old man was charged with impersonating a peace officer last week in relation to an incident on April 17 -- the day before Wortman began his rampage in Nova Scotia.
Investigators say a family was riding their bikes in Puslinch, about 80 kilometres southwest of Toronto, when they were stopped by what appeared to be an unmarked police vehicle.
Police say the SUV was equipped with a push bumper and flashing lights, and the driver could be heard yelling over a public address system.
This report by The Canadian Press was first published April 29, 2020.

Even though the Dodge Challenger is getting old, sales are better than ever 2019 Dodge Challenger Hellcat RedeyeNick Tragianis / Driving There are only a few things on this planet maybe dirt, Keith Richards bandana older than the Dodge Charger and Challenger cousins. That leftover pizza in our office fridge is a close contender, too. These brutes-in-suits have been around, largely unchanged, since 2008 but certainly have staying power in terms of their sales numbers. In an industry thats usually more fickle than a socialites style preferences, the Challenger sells at well over double the rate in America than it did when introduced waaaay back in *checks notes* 2009.When the retro-inspired muscle car dropped ten years ago, 25,852 customers signed up for a piece of that two-door lifestyle. Last year, a total of 60,997 people signed on the line that is dotted, a remarkable number considering the car hasnt really changed in outward appearance since hitting the streets a decade ago. Its a similar story with the Challengers four-door cousin, the Charger. When it showed up in the late 00s, a total of 60,651 found their way into American hands. Last year? 96,935.All this bodes well for the Canadian manufacturing facility in which they are built, as rapidly-selling vehicles are rarely taken behind the woodshed and out of production. Brampton Assembly employs nearly 4,000 workers and assembled nearly a quarter-of-a-million cars last year. Top 15 Cheap Cars With 300 HP for Less Than $40K
The horsepower war is alive and well in the auto industry. Once upon a time, 300 hp was a number reserved for the most superlative—and expensive—cars. But these days, when 700 hp is the unspoken minimum requirement among mega-muscle cars and supercars, horsepower comes relatively cheap. You don’t have to spend an arm and a leg to get 300 hp. If you’re looking for cheap cars with 300 hp, here are a few great options all starting under $40,000.
2019 Infiniti Q50 V-6 | $39,425 | 300 HP
Infiniti’s entry-level sedan offers a turbo-four and a 400-hp V-6, but the sweet spot is its V-6 making 300 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. We’ve praised the Q50 for its spacious interior and generous cargo bay, although the infotainment system is showing its age. This entry makes our list of cheap cars with 300 hp, but just barely, as prices start at over $39,000.
2020 Chrysler 300S | $38,140 | 300 HP
Despite its dated interior, the Chrysler 300S is as stylish as it is powerful. It comes standard with a 3.6-liter V-6 producing 300 hp, but a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 boosts output to 363 hp.
2020 Subaru WRX STI | $37,895 | 310 HP
Drivers will enjoy the impressive handling and all-wheel-drive grip of this brash sedan. After some initial lag, the STI surges forward with confidence with the help of a 310-hp 2.5-liter turbo flat-four engine. Unfortunately, it lost out to the Honda Civic Type R in our sport compact comparison.
2019 Honda Civic Type R | $37,230 | 306 HP
It’s hard to believe a front-drive car can perform this well. The Type R packs a powerful punch with a 306-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, but that’s only part of the story. It also features a superb chassis and engaging manual transmission. As we noted in one review, it “feels like a detuned rally car.”
2019 Buick LaCrosse V-6 | $37,095 | 310 HP
Yes, a Buick can be powerful. Not only does the LaCrosse make 310 hp with its optional V-6 engine, it also handles surprisingly well for its size. But the sedan may not be for sale much longer in the U.S., as production ended at GM’s Detroit–Hamtramck facility in February.
2020 Toyota Avalon | $36,755 | 301 HP
This sedan makes 301 hp from its V-6 engine, but unlike other cheap cars with 300 hp, it has no sporting intentions. That is, unless you opt for the new TRD version with a sportier suspension. Generally, though, the Avalon is best known as a comfortable cruiser with a premium cabin filled with soft-touch surfaces and available Yamaha-sourced wood trim.
2020 Nissan Maxima | $35,145 | 300 HP
The Maxima is more of a comfortable cruiser than a sport sedan. That said, the Maxima won’t leave you wanting for power. It boasts a 3.5-liter V-6 making 300 hp.
2020 Chevrolet Impala | $32,495 | 305 HP
GM is shifting its resources from sedans to SUVs, but the Impala still has its merits. Not only does the 3.6-liter V-6 deliver 305 hp, but drivers will enjoy comfortable seats, a controlled ride, and solid handling considering its size. However, it’s unclear if these positive traits are compelling enough to stop consumers from switching to crossovers like the stylish Blazer.
2020 Dodge Charger | $31,390 | 300 HP
Combining muscle car performance with the space and comfort of a traditional sedan, the Charger is a welcome anomaly. The standard V-6 makes 300 hp. V-8 versions are also available for different budgets, from the 370-hp version to a supercharged Hellcat HEMI with 707 hp. Among cheap cars with 300 hp, this one is a particularly good value.
2020 Nissan 370Z | $30,985 | 332 HP
Even though it has gone a decade without a major update, the 370Z is still fun to drive. Packing a 3.7-liter V-6, the model makes 332 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque in standard guise, or 350 hp and 276 lb-ft when buyers upgrade to the Nismo trim. Yes, you can still get it with a six-speed manual. To celebrate five decades in the U.S., the sports car gets a 50th Anniversary edition.
2019 Dodge Challenger | $29,590 | 305 HP
The Challenger has a lot to offer, and you don’t need the 797-hp Hellcat Redeye to have fun. Even the base model makes a healthy 305 hp in standard guise, and V-8 versions start from 375 hp. Along with powerful engines, the Challenger benefits from a smooth ride and surprisingly spacious back seat.
2020 Ford Mustang | $28,410 | 310 HP
Although the V-8 version is more potent, the EcoBoost Mustang strikes a nice balance between performance and value. The base Mustang makes an impressive 310 hp and 350 lb-ft, not from a V-6, but from a 2.3-liter turbo-four engine. The High Performance package is worth it, adding an extra 20 hp to the engine and an active exhaust with quad tips. When we tested an EcoBoost Mustang, it went from 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds.
2019 Chevrolet Camaro V-6 | $27,990 | 335 HP
The Camaro earns its rightful place in muscle car history. The coupe boasts precise steering and little body roll, not to mention great engine choices. Although we like the energetic turbo-four, the V-6 makes a potent 335 hp. For even more power, there’s a V-8 with 455 hp. Despite the added juice, the Camaro V-8 is still a steal, starting under $35,000 for the 2020 model year.
And a few cheap SUVs with 300 HP…
2019 Chevrolet Blazer V-6 | $34,495 | 308 HP
The Blazer shares more than its looks with the Camaro. From its agile road manners to its interior design, the Blazer feels sportier than it should as a midsize SUV. We clocked the RS model hitting 60 mph in 6.1 seconds.
2020 Chevrolet Traverse | $30,995 | 310 HP
Often overlooked, this large crossover boasts surprisingly good handling and a buttery smooth nine-speed transmission. It also has plenty of cargo space, although it has a slightly cramped third row. The V-6 engine makes a healthy 310 hp.

America's Most Wanted: The Top 4 American Muscle Cars to Buy Online
Looking to add a powerful car to your auto stable? Check out the most-wanted American muscle cars for online buyers right now!
Americans are driving more than ever before. With so much of your time spent on the road, it stands to reason you’d want to do it in style. American muscle cars fit that bill, designed as much for aesthetics as performance. But what muscle cars are really worth your time?
Here are 4 of the most wanted muscle cars on the market today.
Chevrolet Camaro
The 2019 Chevrolet Camaro is the sixth of its generation and it’s taken the lessons of earlier iterations to heart. The top ZL1 has a 650-hp supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 allowing it to rip to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.
As muscle cars go, the Camaro is a staple and for good reason: they’re fast, tough, and primed to turn heads wherever they go.
Ford Mustang
You’d have to have lived in a hole to not know about the iconic Mustang. This crown jewel of muscle cars has been in production without interruption since 1964 and it has the reputation to show for it.
The latest Mustang is available with a 310-hp 2.3-liter four but it’s the 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 that brings the real muscle to the road. Dual overhead cam heads and four valves per cylinder combine to push this pony to its limit, a 7400-rpm redline.
To drive a Mustang is to know what real American muscle is all about.
Dodge Challenger
The current Challenger has been in production for 12 years now. Despite its age, it’s still as stunning as when it hit the road over a decade ago.
The Challenger is offered in a number of variations, each with its pros and cons. The basic SXT uses the 305-hp V-6 but it’s the Hemi V-8 that really puts the muscle in this baby.
The supercharged Hellcat model is rated at 707 horsepower but for those looking for even more power, there’s the Redeye that boasts 797 horsepower. The cream of the crop, the Demon, is street drivable but feels most at home roaring down drag strips where it can produce up to 840 horsepower on 100-octane racing fuel.
Dodge Charger
The Dodge Charger hit the road in 1966 as a sleek fastback. Today it lives on as a four-door sedan that rivals its brother, the Challenger but we’d be amiss if we didn’t spotlight the 1968-1970 iteration.
The second-generation Dodge Charger is one of the most recognizable American cars ever made. The beautiful styling alone would have sealed its place in the muscle car hall of fame, but it was its starring role in countless movies and TV shows that popped the cherry on this particular cake.
Thinking about buying one of these beauties for yourself? Rest assured that this baby isn’t all show. A selection of powerful V8 engines ensures it stands the test of time.
American Muscle Cars Never Go Out of Style
There’s just nothing quite like the feel of American muscle cars. Whether you trend toward the more modern iterations or love a good classic, there’s something for you on this list.
Want to buy a muscle car of your own? Check out our muscle cars for sale today and land yourself a beauty.

Is it brand name remorse or marketing genius? We've reported recently that will Avoid will certainly officially close the doors for their SRT division, although Ralph Gilles states performance cars will always roll out below Stellantis. Either way, we're sure that their brand new online store may win over enthusiasts and it has absolutely nothing to do with us reporting this on the Internet. So , let's have a brief look at what's accessible to Mopar enthusiasts.
Tumblr media
As of March one, 2021, the Dodge Store by Amazon . com is open up for business to focus on automotive enthusiasts according to a press release simply by Stellantis Media . It is said that Dodge and SRT supporters "can now shop numerous options for authentic licensed equipment and merchandise across the Amazon . com storefront. " This includes although not limited to hats, shirts, tagged cups and glasses, playthings, and various accessories for example wallets, key chains, plus phone cases.
Possibly as a direct reaction to the end of the Hellcat period, best sellers include SRT-branded hats and shirts that will bear the famous logo design of the roaring cat. Showcased collections consist of "Brotherhood associated with Muscle, " "70s Selection, " and "Vintage Garage" offering gear for both women and men. The online store will have some thing for everyone.

Tumblr media
The entire year 2021 is a big one for Dodge. This will be the only season where the supercharged 6. 2-liter V-8 Hellcat engine comes in every model; the Opposition, Charger, and limited-edition Durango that will surely see markups when they land on the utilized market. With the recent statement signaling the end of the Hellcat motor, it's uncertain just how much longer it will be offered brand new.
Dodge is certainly proud to rank first in JD Power's Initial Quality Study and APEAL Study surveys in the same calendar year for 2020, the first household automaker to do so. After an unsatisfactory last place finish within 2019, such a turnaround will be noteworthy. Good timing as well now that Dodge is in the particular hands of Stellantis, because they face a number of questions regarding what's next for the auto maker.
There's no question the excitement of Avoid CEO Tim Kuniskis who also boldly forecasts a new Golden Age of muscles car performance in the form of electrification . Only time will certainly tell as to how that will takes place. In the meantime, embrace the philosophy of the Hellcat while that it is still here and show this off with new merch now available through official stations.
